Monday’s US Open qualifier at Mak was the busiest day in the qualifying calendar for locals. We are thrilled to have returned as host for the 46th time since 1976! Mak had 10 members and employees play in the event. Wes Homan moved on after shooting 4 under 66 and Will Grimmer moved on as well, after shooting a 2 under 68. Jake Fox missed the playoff by one after shooting 71. An impressive field met the chilly, windy, and all-out beautiful 2024 Men’s Opening Day. The official tournament season has started and the Governor’s Cup matches have begun. The Men’s Tuesday League kicks off this week as well as the ORFs Opening Day. The Women’s Leagues and Couples Events start early May and the first Major of the year, The Joslin Cup, is right around the corner. The Southern Ohio PGA tournament season is off to an exciting start! At the Individual Match Play Championship hosted at Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club this week, Mak’s very own Dave Bahr, PGA was crowned the Senior Division Champion with a 3&2 victory in his final match. Mike Auterson, PGA, won the Main Division Championship with a pair of 4&3 wins on Tuesday, and Ty Schobelock had a decisive 5&4 win in the finals to secure the Associate Division Championship.
