During my Spring 2024 semester at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas, I had the privilege of interning at McMaster Consulting LLC as a Strategy Intern as a part of an internship extension from previous semesters. Still, the fantastic part is that I got to delve into an entirely different part of the business - the business strategy. Moreover, as some of you who have been following my journey through LinkedIn for some time might remember, I initially joined McMaster Consulting LLC in the Summer of 2023 as a result of building and growing my professional network through District 50 Toastmasters. Through my professional network of fellow #Toastmasters, I met the founder and CEO of McMaster Consulting LLC, Kellie McMaster, through many District events and projects. Due to my ability to build my professional network, I reached out to Kellie McMaster to get an internship through McMaster Consulting LLC. Through this internship as a Strategy Intern, my role centered around actively contributing to high-stakes business discussions and collaborating with key stakeholders to navigate strategies for expanding clientele while stimulating growth. Simultaneously, I restructured McMaster Consulting LLC's business plan to blend the company's original trajectory with future goals. As such, I analyzed market dynamics, growth projections, and competitive positioning. This immersive experience provided continuous learning opportunities and allowed me to shape the company's future direction. I would like to thank Kellie McMaster for giving me this fantastic opportunity to be a Strategy Intern this semester! While working alongside Kellie McMaster, I learned more about managing a small business and developing a long-term business strategy. I appreciate Kellie McMaster for always being supportive and flexible, even as I took classes at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas, during the semester.
