Veterans with PTSD often carry the invisible scars of their service, facing daily battles long after their military duties have ended. Mesavita Engineering, LLC proudly supports and participates in events to help combat the effects PTSD on our military heroes, such as #IC4Charity and K9s for Warriors. Today and every day, we recognize our veterans' physical and mental sacrifices. #PTSDAwareness

Mesavita Engineering, LLC was thrilled to participate in the mini-golf tournament #IC4Charity, which supports The Headstrong Project. This non-profit provides free and confidential PTSD treatment for our courageous veterans. The organizers at IC4 Charity and volunteers did an incredible job of putting this event together. There is always a ton of fun activities. The Mesavita team's favorite was the newly added mechanical bull. It's always great to have fun, but when you are doing it for charity, it's even better!

It's Juneteenth, so what are we celebrating? The Emancipation Proclamation, which freed enslaved people in Confederate states? Nope. That happened on January 1, 1863. So, it must be the addition of the 13th Amendment that ended slavery across the US, which passed in December 1865. Also, no. Juneteenth represents the day that the freedom promised in the Emancipation Proclamation was finally delivered to 250,000 people who remained enslaved in Texas two and a half years after President Lincoln’s historic proclamation and two months after Union victory in the Civil War. Today, we celebrate the 249th birthday of the US Army, the first branch of the US Military. We also celebrate those soldiers, past and present, who have answered the call to defend our great nation and preserve our freedom.
