At MHMR of Tarrant County we change lives. My Health My Resources (MHMR) of Tarrant County has provided quality, specialized services in North Central Texas since 1969. Today, we are the second largest community center in Texas. MHMR of Tarrant County offers services for children and adults with mental health disorders; intellectual disabilities, including autism; substance use disorders; and young children who need early intervention. In addition, we provide specialized services to homeless persons, veterans and law enforcement and those in the criminal justice system. MHMR of Tarrant County powers you to empower others. Our staff of nearly 2,000 includes psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, therapists, teachers, case managers, dieticians and volunteers who work in collaboration with community partners to enhance the availability of services and supports. We would like to introduce one of the newest members to the Executive Leadership Team, Twanda Wadlington, DrPH, MPH. Dr. Wadlington has been with the agency nearly six years and currently serves as the senior director of development and executive director of the MHMR Foundation. When she's not diving into grant proposals, Dr. Wadlington can be found buried in a good book, binge-watching 90s sitcoms, or jet-setting to new destinations.

Trinity Metro and MHMR of Tarrant County have teamed up for a job training program that helps participants gain valuable experience while providing great service to enhance the customer experience. The 20-week program pairs six part-time helpers from MHMR with Trinity Metro staff in our custodial and facilities departments. As part of the program, MHMR team members took classes on soft-skills techniques and resume building. They also came to Trinity Metro’s headquarters for interviews prior to beginning their jobs, which are Tuesday through Thursday each week.
