This client aimed to relocate and renovate their new office on M Street, Washington, DC, reflecting their commitment to fostering curiosity through high-quality school curricula. They envisioned a destination workplace that aligns with their educational values. MOI played a crucial role in realizing this vision by combining mid-century modern furnishings with an industrial aesthetic. The design included private offices, conference rooms, and phone booths, balancing privacy and collaboration. Despite challenges with acoustical wall modifications, scheduling, and budgeting, MOI and subcontractors successfully completed the project. When the office opened in September 2023, it received positive feedback from their employees. The repositioning of 1101 Connecticut Avenue in downtown DC, atop the Farragut North metro station, aimed to encourage employees to return to the office. The renovation integrated a range of amenity spaces, including an outdoor terrace, flexible conference center, fitness center, and various meeting spaces. MOI partnered with Altus and Gensler to curate furniture for these spaces, revitalizing the building. Lounge seating upon a vibrant plant wall and an interconnecting stair foster a calming and collaborative atmosphere. The outdoor terrace provides tenants with a refreshing new place to work, live, and stay connected.
