September is Sepsis Awareness Month, observed annually to raise awareness of this life-threatening condition that occurs when the body's immune response to infection injures its own tissue and organs and can lead to shock, multi-organ failure and death, especially if not recognized early and treated promptly. Today in recognition of World Sepsis Day, MMC, team members staffed an information table and wore red and red ribbons to help raise that awareness. Go to SepsisAwarenessMonth.org for more information. #SepsisAwarenessMonth #SAM2024

Thank you to the Long Branch Police Department for their thoughtful donation of fun activity bags for our pediatric patients. The bags contained coloring books featuring first responders along with crayons, stickers and other crafts. The police officers delivered the activity bags that they planned to distribute August 6th at the City's 24th annual National Night Out Against Crime, an event that was cancelled due to the threat of severe weather. National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Thank you Long Branch Police for bringing this important campaign to our young patients!
