Do you see what we see? If you thought: “Well, obviously…the materials needed for a new exhibition!” … you’d be on the money. Curious? Join us at the Montshire Museum of Science next Saturday, September 21, as we open Timber Tumble - a new outdoor exhibition created entirely from natural and found materials from our 110-acre property. #museums #mindfulness #nature

Girls just want to have fun! And in this case, we mean the all-star, all-girl volunteer team from the Upper Valley Trails Alliance that headed into our woods yesterday to rebuild a bridge on our Ridge Trail that had been damaged from a tree fall. Our friends at UVTA are vital partners of the Montshire Museum of Science and help us maintain our network of trails throughout our 110-acre property. Thank you! Once again, we are THRILLED with your work! #trades #girlsinstem #experientiallearning #partnership

Tucked inside a community gathering space at the beautiful Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, a small team of Montshire staff joined forces last week with museum colleagues from the Anchorage Museum, Oakland Zoo, Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Boise Watershed for Climate Camp! Together, along with advisors from Phipps, The Wild Center, NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, Madison Children's Museum, Smithsonian Institution, University of Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and Climate Generation, we each mapped out new initiatives to engage our respective audiences in climate action. #museums #climateaction #climateeducation #stemlearning

The Montshire Museum of Science is excited to be partnering with New Hampshire Healthcare Workers for Climate Action in hosting two climate cafés for parents on December 2, 2023 at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Climate cafés are facilitated small-group gatherings where participants are provided with a safe space to share their thoughts and emotions around the threat posed by climate change. These two events will uniquely focus on the mental health of parents, who are faced with the challenge of raising their children in the shadow of an uncertain and changing climate. For more information on these events and how to attend, visit: https://lnkd.in/ee_iCnJZ #climatechange #parenting #climateresilience
