Mission Morrison Center’s mission is to provide comprehensive programming, individualized supports, and employment services for people of all ages with disabilities within a dynamic learning environment to empower its consumers and students to achieve maximum personal growth and independence. History Morrison Center has been serving the greater Portland area for more than 60 years. In fact, what is known as Morrison Center today began in 1951 when a group of interested individuals from the Westbrook Kiwanis formed an affiliation with Down East Cerebral Palsy Association. Throughout the 1950’s, the program expanded from a Saturday afternoon playgroup to offering services several days a week. 60 years later, we’ve grown to an organization that offering a wide variety of programs and services five days a week. We also changed our name to honor Betty Morrison who essentially founded the Center and served as the Executive Director from 1962-1999! Morrison Center now serves adults and children of all ages and abilities through several different programs offered at locations in both Scarborough and Wells. Our Strengths A private, non-profit organization, Morrison Center has empowered Maine residents of all ages and abilities for more than 60 years with world-class educational, training, and support services.   • Morrison Center is looking for a Clinical Director of Adult Services, working with both the Adult Residential and Adult Community Support Programs for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Qualified Applicants will have: LCSW, LCPC, LMSW-cc, LCPC-cc Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and previous supervisory experience. Knowledge of licensing/regulations in the field, or ability to learn and help implement necessary policies and procedures Flexibility and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities. The ability to proactively meet challenges and achieve solutions through collaboration. Clinical supervisory experience Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supervise and lead Directors and program staff to provide highest level of therapeutic, individualized support in alignment with the agency's mission and licensing standards. Role model initiative, decision making and strong judgement. Conduct supervision with Directors, provide clinical supervision of staff Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws pertaining to licensure. Review all specialists, therapies, and physicians recommended treatments and plans of care, working with staff to ensure implementation. Maintain an active working knowledge of all Treatment, Crisis, and Positive Behavior support plans to ensure implementation. Ensure daily documentation is completed for billing and quality assurance. Here is a brief bio on Danielle: Danielle Loring, LCSW, has joined Morrison Center as its new Executive Director. Danielle holds an MSW from Columbia University and has most recently directed intensive services and emergency department crisis services for Maine Behavioral Healthcare in emergency rooms across seven different Maine hospitals. Danielle is highly accomplished and an experienced executive leader with years of service in the Maine health and non-profit sector. Danielle brings a wide scope of experience and knowledge to Morrison Center, an agency with eight programs throughout Maine for children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.     Registered Nurse - Children's and Adult Residential Services Morrison Center is seeking a RN to work in our Children's and Adult Residential Programs, serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Rewarding career helping residents and teaching staff. Essential Functions Include: Health oversight for children in Scarborough and New Gloucester - Children's Res Ensure all MARS are accurate, work with CRMAs as needed to refresh skills - Children's and Adult Res Provide training to staff on medical/health procedures as needed (tube feeding, diabetes training) - Children's and Adult Res Act as a role model and professional - Children's and Adult Res Create, monitor and Maintain Medication Administration Records - Children's and Adult Res Order medical supplies - Children's and Adult Res Obtain and monitor status of Dr.’s orders including over the counter medications - Children's and Adult Res Monitor annual medical-related releases and forms and assure that they are current - Children's Res Keep first aid boxes stocked - Children's and Adult Res Review all health related incident reports - Children's and Adult Res Point of contact for all children's physicians and specialists, set up medical appointments for children's residential - Children's Res Work with the consulting physician to create and approve health and medical policies and procedures as needed, provide instruction on these to staff - Children's and Adult Res Qualifications: Education/Licensure: Current State of Maine RN licensure required Experience: Working with individuals with IDD preferred Benefits: We offer an excellent benefit package including health (with a generous employer contribution) & dental insurance.
