The daily newspaper of the Palouse country, the company serves Moscow, Idaho, and surrounding Latah County and Pullman, Washington, and surrounding Whitman County. The two cities, less than 10 miles apart, are home to the University of Idaho and Washington State University. It is owned both by the Alford family of Lewiston, Idaho, and by its employees through an ESOP.
