❄️ Winter will be here before we know it! We're kicking off our annual coat giveaway with a goal of collecting 213 coats before the cold hits. From now until October 18, we'll be accepting donations of new and gently loved coats. We need all hands on deck 🙌. 1. Purchase a new coat from our wishlist at WomanWithin and have it shipped to✉️: N Street Village c/o Alex Burch 1333 N Street N.W. Washington, D.C. 20005 2. Donate a gently-loved coat that meets the following criteria: 🌟Clean and without flaws 🌟No rips, holes, tears, or snags 🌟No stains or discoloration 🌟Zipper and/or buttons are fully functional 🌟No broken/missing fasteners 🌟Pockets are empty of personal items 3.Donate funds to help us purchase additional coats for residents and clients with special needs and/or sizing💰. 👚👖A huge thank you to the amazing group of first year CSJ students from Georgetown University who volunteered with us last Wednesday🥳🥰! Your help resetting our clothing closet was invaluable in helping us prepare to better serve our clients this week. We're so grateful for your dedication and compassion. Warm tortillas, sizzling meat and veggie fillings, all the toppings you could dream of 😍🌮🔥. Our all-star Ambassadors Council hosted the most delicious taco bar that had everyone's mouths watering 😋. But, the real zest came from the lively convos, contagious laughter, and smiles around the tables. Nights like these are a reminder that N Street Village is so much more than shelter and services. It's a family that comes together to nourish the body and soul❤️.

Thanks to our continued partnership with the William and Mary Washington Center, the Village welcomed Bess Brown this summer. Bess interned with the development and volunteer engagement team. Last night, Alex Burch, Volunteer and In-Kind Gifts Coordinator joined Samara Kurien, Program Associate, at the Washington Center's farewell reception for the D.C. Summer Institutes Fellows.
