"I'm responsible for keeping our equipment and crews running. Today, I might be working on an electrical issue on a generator, tomorrow I might be changing oil, the next day I might be working on a loader on site or installing a bumper on a truck. It's enjoyable. I like working with my hands rather than sitting behind a desk." Why Constructors? "They treat me pretty well. The thing I like about this company is that they are very family oriented. I'm able to do all my outside work activities, and they make sure I get to where I need to go after work. We're hiring a Quality Assurance Service Technician, and to give you a little more context on what this position looks like, we brought in an expert to answer a few questions! Meet Ryan - A little over a year ago, he joined the NEBCO team to help support our Ready Mixed division and has been helping improve our product quality ever since. What does your daily schedule look like? "There's usually a few jobs to go to each day, and we make sure to test those orders at the plant before they go out. When on-site, we help manage trucks in and out of the job and work with contractors and third-party testers to make sure things go smoothly. We're also on call for any issues that may come up that day." What are some of your favorite things about working for NEBCO and Ready Mixed? "I’d say it's the people. No matter which plant I’ve worked out of, every single person has been great. Everyone is welcoming to you when you start out, and that was a huge help to me....We’re all here to help each other. " How would you encourage someone to join the Ready Mixed & NEBCO team? "This is an excellent field to get into, and it’s an industry that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon." How often are you interacting with other people? "There is plenty of interaction throughout the day; whether it’s with plant personnel, drivers or dispatch.
