Our SoCal Sales and Corporate Marketing and Design teams had a fun team-building day at The Pottery Studio! We got our creativity flowing by hand-building our own mugs and bowls, and walked away with some unique masterpieces. Team-building activities like these remind us of the importance of collaboration, creativity, and taking time to enjoy the process together. Breakfast with Battaglia is always a blast! A huge shoutout to Michael Battaglia, New Home Co.’s Southern California Division President, for organizing such a fantastic event. Michael, along with Mark Kawanami and Pat Dibble, took the time to cook up a delicious breakfast for our SoCal and corporate teams. These breakfasts (and sometimes BBQs) are a wonderful tradition, giving everyone a chance to step out of the office, enjoy some good food, and relax together. Looking forward to the next one!

Members from both our Corporate and Southern California divisions recently dedicated their Volunteer Time Off (VTO) to join an Earth Week Volunteer Event at OC Second Harvest Food Bank! Their efforts involved harvesting broccoli, which was later packaged and distributed to families in need across the county. Our team is passionate about giving back. Yesterday, Jennifer Keller, P.E., New Home Co.’s Division President for Houston and Austin, attended the 2024 NAHB Legislative Conference on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. She joined over 900 residential development and construction professionals to advocate for key initiatives to ease the housing affordability crisis in our country. More than 250 meetings occurred with lawmakers to push for adopting cost-effective building codes, addressing shortages of distribution transformers, and promoting skilled trade careers.
