The centerpiece of these upgrades is our cutting-edge field laboratories, equipped for comprehensive in-basin testing. Our strategically located bulk plants across the Northeastern US position NexTier as the premier service provider for the entire Marcellus and Utica basins. By significantly reducing transport times, these nearby facilities minimize sample degradation, delivering faster, more accurate results to our customers. Extended reach horizontals require a new approach to well cementing. NexTier's Cementing group is leading the charge, tackling some of the most technically challenging laterals in the US. Our Cement Engineering team is optimizing slurry designs to manage both extended pumping times and proper cement transition periods to control gas migration. With the addition of new higher horsepower pumps and the latest automation systems, we're handling larger cement volumes while maintaining slurry consistency for wells in excess of 33,000 feet TMD (Total Measured Depth).
