We LOVE 💕 to support our community! On Friday, 7/19 we hosted our annual Summer Back-to-School 🚌 event at The Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Phoenix. The event includes special activities like making slime, clay molding, erupting volcano experiments, playing chess, coding games, and more. Our company volunteers lead the activities and have so much fun with the kids! But the most important reason for the event is THE GREAT BACKPACK GIVEAWAY! We know back-to-school can be a stressful time for families that are already challenged to meet their everyday needs. This year our team packed nearly 400 backpacks, filled with customized supplies needed for the respective grades - Preschool, Elementary, Middle & High School. It was an amazing event filled with lots of smiles, thankfulness and happiness that filled our hearts just as much as it did theirs! We are so grateful that our success affords us the opportunity to give back to those in need. Anyone who knows the Corso's Cookies story knows how much Target has been a part of that story. It was a buyer at Target back in 2006, (when we were an 8 person operation), that put us on the path to develop our robotic decorating technology, after a nationwide recall of Chinese made decorated cookies left them with no cookies for the holidays. And our lives haven't been the same since. And today the folks at Target have once again inspired us to try something new with a request for a Chocolate S'mores Color-a-Treat kit! And once again, it feels like our lives are about to change. In 20 plus years of making cookies this is by far the best cookie we've ever made and I like everyone else here can't stop eating them! My favorite customers are those that work with us as a partner in being creative, taking chances and breaking new ground together. The team at Target certainly fits that description and we are thrilled to see the "Only at Target" label on our newest innovation. Be sure to grab some at your local Target when they hit the bakery shelves March 31st!
