Learn about proposed regulatory and reimbursement changes for high-acuity services in the Hospice CARE Act, and hear how the NAHC-NHPCO Alliance responded in this Hospice News story. "'Hospices that provide high-acuity services to patients need stronger reimbursement incentives that alleviate cost pressures on patients and their families when electing the benefit,' according to the Alliance. While the organization voiced support for a reimbursement structure that would account for the costs of high-acuity care, the group indicated that the proposed 200% may not be enough." 🆕 EGSS National Report and Executive Summary 🔔 The Evaluation of Grief Support Services (EGSS) survey is an NHPCO member resource designed to help providers evaluate grief support services from the perspective of the recipients of those services. The survey takes a comprehensive approach by including a wide range questions, many of which are optional so hospice providers can tailor the survey to reflect the services they offer. The National Report publishes aggregated data collected from the EGSS to track performance in the critical area of grief support. NHPCO members also have access to a data dashboard tool that enables providers who have used the EGSS survey to compare their scores to national averages.
