Work continues on NJ TRANSIT's new multilevel train cars! The new vehicles are currently being prepped for interior elements including: passenger seating equipped with USB ports, LED infotainment screens, and various other cutting-edge features!

NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak were pleased to host Federal Railroad Administration Administrator Amit Bose and Federal Transit Administration Regional Administrator Mike Culotta on an inspection tour at Morrisville Yard, a rail yard just west of Trenton used by NJ TRANSIT rail operations for trains on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) Line. There, the officials were briefed on NJ TRANSIT’s and Amtrak’s ongoing joint efforts to address catenary issues impacting service on the NEC. Recent milestones include: - ⚡New catenary poles have gone up, which provides a new power system for Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT trains with state-of-the-art infrastructure. - 🚥Began steps on installing the first of 15 signal bungalows, which houses the technology that operates the bridge. - 📈 Reaching 67% completion of the project while remaining in budget and on schedule and having zero major safety incidents. This key infrastructure development symbolizes our collaboration with NJ TRANSIT and Gateway Development Commission and shared commitment to enhancing the Garden State’s transportation landscape, while reinforcing our dedication to modernizing travel for the future for local communities, residents and visitors. Earlier this week, NJ TRANSIT's Access Link team attended the 7th Annual Constituent Services Fair at Camden County College! This outreach event gave the opportunity to speak to customers about Access Link and other NJ TRANSIT services.

NJ TRANSIT Assistant Conductor Marshall Jackson was recognized at last night's Board Meeting for his heroic efforts for saving the life of a passenger. We are proud of the endless service and heroism our employees show on a daily basis!

NJ TRANSIT is moving ahead with the design phase of the new Union City Bus Garage and Terminal following approval from NJ TRANSIT’s Board of Directors. The modern state-of-the-art bus facility will support a fleet of electric buses for storage and charging, a service facility for bus cleaning, maintenance and inspection as well as a passenger terminal facility.
