The idea that your mental health needs to be “bad enough” to warrant help is a harmful misconception—especially when it comes to #OCD, which often grows more severe the longer it goes untreated. Therapy can be thought of in the same way we would view any other form of preventative medical care: the sooner you address your concerns, the more you can stop them from escalating. And in the case of OCD (as well as many other #mentalhealth conditions), someone being externally “high-functioning” often doesn’t represent what’s really happening.
