Yesterday, we had a record-breaking day for 2024 in our Food Pantry: 346 orders. That's 346 struggling households that don't have to worry about how they'll afford to put food on the table. We couldn't fill those orders without the generous food donations from individuals and groups. One of the easiest ways companies and other groups can give back is by holding a food drive. As students in Fulton county wrap up their first week of school today, we want to thank Cox Automotive Inc. for providing backpacks and school supplies for 54 elementary school students! Thank you for your commitment to our community’s children!

Everyone that comes through our GED tutoring program has unique challenges to overcome. One of our most recent GED graduates, Magdalena, is originally from a remote village in Guatemala. She received no formal education as a child and, as a result, had been turned away from GED classes in the past. It’s wasn’t an easy journey, but her perseverance and drive to learn along with the patience and dedication of NFCC’s tutors helped her reach her dreams. Way to go, Magdalena! Thanks to the generous donations that came in from our community, we were able to provide 1,089 backpacks for students in our community last week. Thank you to our supporting sponsor CL Burks Commercial Roofing for helping make this possible!

Thanks to the many generous donors and sponsors that contributed to our Back to School program - we were able to provide filled backpacks to 1,089 children and teens in our community! Next week, these students will return to the classroom on the first day ready for a successful year!

We appreciate the support of Back to School Supporting Sponsor DataScan. DataScan is an incredible partner with NFCC in ensuring struggling families in our community have the help they need. In addition to their support as a sponsor, DataScan donated more than $5,000 in school supplies!

Thank you to our partner Nalley Automotive Group, one of our Supporting Sponsors for our Back to School program! In addition to their sponsorship, which helps run the program, they donated $4,200 in school supplies. This group of volunteers from Nalley helped give out backpacks on our final day of the program.
