We are beyond excited to announce our 2024 #HelpingHermanas program donation to the Not One More Back-to-School Block Party in our hometown of Reading, PA 🫶🏽 The Not One More Youth Violence Intervention and Prevention Program is a collaborative effort between Penn State Berks, RIZE and the Berks Youth Anti-Violence Coalition. The program serves youth and young adults ages 14-21 using an evidence-based, public health approach to curing violence. We will be donating over 100 of our Hydrating Curl Creams for the second year in a row during today's event at Barbey's Playground from 4-8PM. Self-care is an important part of the back-to-school routine and we hope it helps more hermanas and hermanos embrace who they are born to be. As a sister-owned business our community is truly our biggest motivation, and we are honored to be able to give back in a small way. Hola hermanas 👋🏽 our community keeps growing so we wanted to re-introduce ourselves. We are Cory and Nicol, hermanas and Co-founders of OCOA. We were born in Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. After years of straightening our hair to feel beautiful we let go of the idea that our hair was ‘pelo malo’ and finally embraced who we are born to be. Swipe for a few facts about us: 1. Cory is the oldest sister, La hermana mayor & Nicol is La hermana menor at OCOA but we have two younger sisters 👯♀️👯♀️ 2. Cory is a December Sagittarius and Nicol is a February Aquarius. We are truly ying and yang ☯️ 3. We are moms and have 4 kids in between the two of us all under the age of 7. They are our biggest motivation ❤️🔥 Which fact surprised you the most? The end of an era 🙏🏽 While we will always love our OG bottles it was time for an upgrade.
