Last week Westwin Elements, the nation’s first major nickel refinery, celebrated the opening of its cobalt/nickel pilot plant in Lawton, advancing its dedication to localizing nickel production to the U.S. and addressing critical minerals challenges through its innovation and sustainable practices.

The Commerce team joined Congressman Tom Cole and Norman Economic Development Coalition for a tour of CHASM Advanced Materials, Inc.'s carbon nanotube plant where they are performing innovative research and producing nanotubes with a variety of uses to innovate the way concrete and many other materials are utilized. We are excited for Chasm’s expansion project, bringing more quality jobs and serving a strong supply chain in Oklahoma. #COREOklahoma

Last week Gov. Stitt and Lt. Gov. Pinnell joined the City of Jenks in celebrating the grand opening of Simon's Tulsa Premium Outlets and the creation of 800 jobs. This project has been 10 years in the making and will infuse millions of dollars into Jenks for infrastructure, schools, police and fire as it is projected to attract over 6 million visitors annually to the area.
