Career fulfillment isn't just a far-off dream; it's a real thing that you can achieve if you have the right attitude and plan. This is how I break down my plan for finding happiness: 1. Goal (no deadline) = 'Wish' or Dream 2. Goal + Deadline = Objective 3. Goal + Deadline + Plan = Intention 4. Goal + Deadline + Plan + Consistent Action = 'Success' 5. Personally Meaningful Goal + Deadline + Plan + Consistent Action = Fulfillment For me, job satisfaction comes from these main things: ✅ Challenges: Taking on jobs that are hard for me and make me leave my comfort zone. These problems help me learn and keep my job interesting. ✅ Progress: I believe in always changing. Every win, no matter how small, is important because it leads me to bigger goals. ✅ Subjectively Meaningful Goals: It's not what you pursue that matters, but that you choose to follow something that is important to you. ✅ Autonomy: Being able to choose how I work makes me much more productive and happy. ✅ A Supportive Community: This is what has helped me advance in my work. Surrounding yourself with people who share your values and help each other makes all the difference. What else would you add? To truly thrive, companies and leaders must go beyond: ➟ Mentorship and guidance for professional growth.  ➟ Resources to prevent burnout and manage stress.  ➟ Support for physical and mental health to ensure well-being.  ➟ Team-building activities that foster real connections and trust.  ➟ Training that explores new skills, not just deepens existing ones.  ➟ Compensation that reflects true contributions, not just market rates. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝘆 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 I stopped asking, “What’s the culture like?” in interviews. The answers were often vague and unhelpful. Instead, I now ask these insightful questions: 1. What do new employees typically find surprising after they start? 2. Can you share a recent example of how you supported an employee's personal or professional growth? 3. How does the company handle and implement feedback from employees? 4. How are successes and milestones celebrated within the company? 5. How does the company encourage employees to bring their unique perspectives and experiences to the workplace? 6. How does the company ensure continuous learning and development for its employees? 7. What strategies does the company employ to ensure open and transparent communication at all levels? 8. Could you share an instance where the company's core values directly influenced a business decision? 9. How has the company changed since you joined? 10. What resources or books would you recommend to help me have a shared understanding with the people who work here? 💬 These questions reveal a lot more about a company's true culture and values. Stop searching for the "perfect" hire. Start developing and promoting from within your own company. Promote the right attitude instead of the "perfect" resume.
