Our mission is good health for our people, our patients, our communities and our world. Above all, we will do the right.

Über uns

Good health for our people, our patients, our communities and our world. Legacy Health is a local nonprofit that provides comprehensive primary, secondary and tertiary care services across the Portland and Vancouver metro area and the mid-Willamette Valley. That means helping people get healthy, and staying that way. Encouraging medical professionals to set a higher standard. Tending to the little things that help patients heal. And supporting our staff in doing whatever it takes to meet the needs of those we serve. But it's not just what we do, it's why we do it. At Legacy, our fundamental responsibility is to improve the wellness of everyone we touch, to empower people to live healthier lives, and to create a legacy that truly lives on. We strive to be a diverse, culturally competent organization. We strongly encourage individuals with diverse backgrounds and those who promote diversity and inclusion to apply. We enjoyed celebrating with the community at the 60th Annual Woodburn Fiesta Mexicana! Connecting with our community is what makes events like this so special. A big thank you to our staff from the Human Resources team, Trauma Nurses Talk Tough, our stroke team, and the Woodburn Health Center for sharing their knowledge, passion, and care with our community. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do – to build strong, healthy connections with the people we serve.

We’re thrilled to share that Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center is the first hospital in the Portland metro area to utilize the Intuitive Da Vinci 5 surgical robot! Today marks our first patient surgery with this groundbreaking technology. The DV5 robot enhances our surgeons’ visualization, boosts operating room efficiency, and provides invaluable insights into each case. Legacy Mount Hood proudly holds the distinction of being the only hospital in the Legacy network with a Robotic Center of Excellence certification. Volunteers are an essential part of Legacy Health. They provide necessary support to our patients, families, and staff and help make a significant impact on their lives. Bruce, who retired after 43 years in the hospitality industry, chose to volunteer part-time in hospitals. Over the past 18 years, he has served in three hospitals. Reflecting on his time with us, Bruce shares why he finds volunteering rewarding and his vital role in patient care at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center: "Volunteering is very rewarding and provides an opportunity to give back to the community for many of the blessings I have received from others over the years. I am a people person and look forward to assisting visitors and guests with their needs and requests. I chose to volunteer at Legacy Salmon Creek after a residential move closer to my home. Visiting a hospital for some can be stressful, all the more reason to be helpful. When the opportunity came up to be in the Intensive Care Unit, I jumped at it. With my spiritual and faith level, it was a good fit. I'm proud to be a part of Clark County's only five-star hospital." Volunteering is a meaningful way to give back and gain experience in healthcare. If you're interested in joining us, learn more here: https://bit.ly/3QghMzc
