Yesterday Outreach held a Team Paint event as part of our Wellness Series! Here are some photos from the event!

To remind us of the struggles of the past, present, and future, Congress designated August 26 as Women’s Equality Day in 1971. Today is also the 104th anniversary of the Suffragette movement in the U.S., which fought for and gained the right for women to vote. It wasn't until the 19th Amendment was ratified that Black women were granted the same right. Today, Women’s Equality Day celebrates the achievements of women’s rights activists and reminds us of the unique and daily struggles that women in our country continue to face.

Be Kind To Humankind Week is an annual worldwide celebration of kindness that is observed from August 25 to August 31. Outreach was thrilled to have the opportunity to visit today with Ludy Shaw, Director of Youth & Adult Services and Special Advisor Crisis Management, from the Queens Borough President Donovan Richards office. Ludy visited our Richmond Hill clinic, met with the leadership of the Outreach Training Institute and shared many ideas and resources to help our programs in Queens continue to thrive. We are so grateful for the ongoing help and engagement from the QBP. #QueensBoroughPresident
