At dusk, smoke rose from a fully aflame tree deep in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest within the Big Sky Resort Area District, likely sparked by a lightning strike to the west of Moonlight Basin golf course. Before anyone called 911, Pano’s AI-powered cameras atop Lone Mountain detected the blaze, allowing the Big Sky Fire Department to respond quickly and extinguish it. The Warden Fire in Washington State would have had to become much larger before catching anyone's attention. But Pano's cameras caught the first signs of smoke before anyone knew - no one called 911 and the local fire department was unaware of an active fire in a remote part of their jurisdiction. Pano alerted Washington State Department of Natural Resources who sent firefighters to the site and used the provided coordinates to guide the crew to within 100ft of the ignition source. The blaze was contained to under 20 acres. It was a Red Flag Warning day with high temperatures and low humidity when a sudden lighting strike ignited a fire on the remote north side of Bennett Mountain in Douglas County, CO. Within minutes, the Pano system detected smoke, provided video confirming it as wildfire and triangulated coordinates from two camera stations - one from CORE Electric Cooperative and one from Xcel Energy. The Douglas County Office of Emergency Management, seeing the triangulation and video intelligence, initiated a Helitack and rapid initial attack. A crew of 40 from the County and the USDA Forest Service hiked for nearly two and half hours to reach the site while helicopters dropped 17,000 gallons of water to fully contain the fire at three acres. The quick response kept this high risk fire from progressing to what could have been a fast-moving, large-scale fire. Together, CORE and Xcel Energy will have 48 stations live in Colorado in the coming months along with a dozen more from other local governments and enterprises for a total of 60. This collaborative effort enhances the precision and effectiveness of wildfire detection and response, significantly benefiting the communities they serve. The city of City of Rancho Palos Verdes Verdes, CA, is enhancing wildfire detection and response with AI technology. Pano AI and the city of RPV officially marked the launch of four stations utilizing our high-definition cameras for a 360-degree view of the entire Palos Verdes Peninsula and #AI to detect the earliest signs of smoke. Our system alerts first responders within minutes of detection, ensuring that both firefighters and municipal leaders can act swiftly to protect communities. Last weekend, Pano cameras in Colorado spotted a fire near Breckenridge. Within minutes our system alerted the Red, White & Blue Fire’s Wildland Division and the crew’s rapid response kept the runaway campfire to an eighth of an acre. Our patented triangulation process pinpointed the location of the fire, saving what could have been hours of searching.
