PSA: Attention Departments Using Constant Contact for E-Newsletters 📣 I’m researching the 203 CAPRA Accredited organizations for an upcoming post, and I’ve noticed an issue with departments using Constant Contact. Every department (15+ so far) has displayed the following error message when attempting to subscribe to their mailing list. I’ve tried multiple browsers (Safari/Chrome) and different email addresses, but the error occurs after you enter an email and hit ‘submit’. It might be worth checking out… #parksandrecreation

How would the Chief Brand Officer of Lululemon brand Movies in the Park for a local Parks and Recreation department? Listen to Nikki Neuburger, Chief Brand Officer of Lululemon and Cindy Bagley, MA, CPRP, 2024 CPRS President-Elect discuss the main takeaways from our Rec Labs webinar series: 1️⃣ Building a Strong Brand Identity: Just like global brands such as Lululemon have a distinct identity, local parks departments can create a unique brand for their own services. By brainstorming creative event names and focusing on local insights, we can make our programs more memorable and stand out in the minds of our community members. 2️⃣ Adapting to Change: Our brand as Parks and Recreation professionals is not static. It evolves based on the goals and priorities of elected officials and the community demographics. It's crucial for us to remain agile and align our services with the evolving needs of our communities while staying true to our overarching goal of enhancing quality of life. 3️⃣ Understanding Our Audience: To effectively connect with our community members, we must invest time in understanding their preferences, values, and interests. By engaging with them through communication channels of their preference (social media, e-mail, etc.), we can tailor our messaging to resonate with different segments of our audience and build stronger connections. Register for our next Rec Labs webinar (link in comments below) kicking off on 7/31 at 11am PT with Bradley Horowitz, seasoned Google product leader where he will be discussing how to breathe new life into old parks and programs. #whereyoubelong  #parksandrecreation  #recreation
