Ever noticed how clients latch onto the latest buzz or the most dramatic story they've heard? That's the “Availability Heuristic” at work – a fancy way of saying that people rely on whatever pops into their heads first when making decisions. And let’s be honest, it’s not always the best strategy. Clients often overestimate the importance of the most recent or memorable info. They’ll zero in on that one horror story about a failed project or that one dazzling success they read about last week. Suddenly, that one-off example becomes their entire decision-making process. It’s like judging a book by its most dog-eared page. But just because something’s top of mind doesn’t mean it’s the whole story. The recent or the flashy isn’t always the best guide. As professionals, it’s our job to help clients see the bigger picture. We need to steer the ship away from the latest headline and towards the broader, more balanced view. Yes, that dramatic example sticks out for a reason, but it’s not the whole enchilada. Remind them that good decisions come from seeing all the puzzle pieces, not just the shiny ones. #psychology #sales #linkedin #fintech

Here’s the thing about sales partners: getting them to sign up is the easy part. Keeping them engaged? That’s where the rubber meets the road. I’ve been in their shoes, so when they start talking, I let them run the show. I listen, really listen, and then share my story to connect the dots. It’s all about showing them I get it – I've been there, done that. But here’s where it gets tricky. Once they start dealing with my team, things can fizzle out. My team, talented as they are, hasn’t walked that same rocky path. You can’t download experience into someone’s brain. And that disconnect becomes the reason why some partners vanish after a deal or two. So, what do I do? I pull them back in. If I see they’ve got potential, I go old school – weekly or biweekly calls, one-on-one. I hand-hold them until they’re comfortable, and once they are, they pass that confidence on to others. Bottomline is, It’s not just about signing contracts. It’s about staying in the trenches with them, making sure the connection doesn’t fade, and turning a flicker of interest into a blazing fire. B2B, B2C, or D2C at the end of the day is H2H – Human to human. Cheers ! #sales #motivation #fintech #linkedin

When you’re in sales, it’s easy to get starry-eyed over the big fish and forget about the little guys. In reality those small accounts are your bread and butter. Think of it like this: small wins are like warm-up stretches before a big game. They get you in the groove, build your confidence, and make you ready for the big leagues. You land a small account, you tweak your pitch, and you learn what works. It’s like sharpening your knife before carving the turkey. Plus, every small win is a story in your back pocket. When you go after the big deals, you can say, “Hey, I’ve been there, done that, and here’s the proof.” Confidence in sales is half the battle. If you’re only chasing whales and keep missing, you’ll start feeling like a fish out of water. But stack up those smaller wins, and suddenly you’re strutting into every pitch like you own the place. Bottom line is: Don’t sleep on the small stuff. They’re your confidence builders. Every win, no matter how small, adds up. And before you know it, you’re ready to reel in the big ones with ease. #sales #philosophy #fintech #payments #linkedin

Nobody likes feeling dumb, and nothing screams jargon like throwing fancy words at a customer who just wants to know if your gadget works. So I can either use a flowery vocab saying: “Our POS system integrates seamlessly with your ERP, providing real-time transaction processing, enhanced security protocols, and multi-channel payment acceptance. The EMV compliance and PCI DSS certification ensure top-tier fraud prevention, while the robust analytics dashboard offers granular insights into consumer behavior and sales trends” OR I can simply say: This is our POS machine. You use it to take payments—cards, phones, you name it. It speeds up checkout, so your customers aren't standing around, twiddling their thumbs. It keeps track of every sale, making it a breeze to see what’s flying off the shelves. I swear by this philosophy. When you use jargon, they get defensive and then when they get defensive, they shut off. #sales #philosophy #jargon #linkedin

The Customer’s Always Right? Not So Fast… You know how they say, “The customer is always right”? Well, I’ve got a different spin on it. I’m not about telling customers they’re wrong (even when they’re way off). Instead, I play the question game. If a customer swears the sky’s red, I won’t argue. I’ll just say, “Really? What makes you think that?” Then I keep asking those nudging questions, steering them gently in the right direction. Before long, they’ll start seeing the light on their own. I never have to say, “You’re wrong.” Always lead a horse to water and let it drink on its own. There’s a fine line between saying someone’s wrong and guiding them to the truth with a little finesse. #sales #philosophy #payments #fintech #linkedin
