Did you know that Peachtree Group has a charitable foundation? Our employees routinely contribute to a fund to assist team members, customers and communities where we live and work that are in need. Whether from a natural disaster, an emergency, or personal tragedy, the money raised goes to support them. Recently Will Woodworth, VP of Investments at Peachtree spearheaded a Poker Run to raise money for the foundation. Team members from all departments gathered before work to walk or run a 1 mile or 3.5 mile course. Congratulations to the winner! If you missed the #ALIS Summer Series, you missed market insights from Peachtree's John Schellhase, AVP Development and Investments. Schellhase said because office development is low and multifamily has slowed down materially, hotels are presenting an opportunity to become the best use in markets, especially where RevPAR is outpacing construction costs. “[They] seem to be more complicated and high-capitalization deals. But if you can figure out what that looks like, we think there’s a really interesting scenario, particularly where we see that some of the REITs are bringing forward takeouts. At the same time, the volatility that has long impacted commercial real estate is now felt in public markets, underscoring the urgency for the Fed to accelerate rate cuts to steer the economy toward a soft landing. Compounding this situation, escalating geopolitical risks around the world pose serious potential threats that could significantly impact global markets and economic stability.
