In our continued celebration of National Interns Day, we're thrilled to introduce Jill, our dedicated ASL Interpreter with a remarkable journey to share! 🎉 Jill graduated from URI in 2015 with a BA in Communications and a dream of becoming an ASL/English Interpreter. Her path wasn't straightforward, as she discovered the complexities of interpreting and decided to gain more formal training in an Interpreter Training Program, and graduated from Kent State University in May 2021. Jill joined us at Perspectives as an Interpreting Intern during her final semester, where she grew tremendously and felt an immediate connection to our team. She chose us for her internship because of her mentor, Heather Anderson, and the great things she'd heard about our company. 🌟 After gaining valuable experience at the Rhode Island School for the Deaf and passing the Massachusetts state screening, Jill knew Perspectives was where she wanted to continue her career. Now, as a full-time member of our team, Jill loves the welcoming atmosphere and supportive colleagues who help her thrive in her role. We're excited to have Jill bring her skills and passion to Perspectives and can't wait to see all she achieves! 🎊

Gillian graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Criminal Justice & Psychology upon completion of her internship at Perspectives, where she had the opportunity to work across ADS North, HBTS 5, and the Advisor Model. Gillian chose Perspectives because of our competitive pay and the diverse range of programs we offer. Her time with us has not only broadened her knowledge of direct care and ABA Therapy but also reinforced her passion for helping others. Jakyrah graduated from Exeter-West Greenwich High School and earned her bachelor’s in biological sciences with a minor in psychology from the University of Rhode Island. Her journey with Perspectives began as an intern, where she excelled as a Behavior Technician. Jakyrah found immense gratification in catering to the unique needs of each child. Jakyrah chose Perspectives for her internship to fulfill her psychology minor and because of her passion for working with kids. Her dream is to become a pediatrician, and she believes that her diverse experiences here will help her connect deeply with future patients. We're excited to welcome Jakyrah to our team and can't wait to see the amazing impact she'll continue to make! 🌟

🎉 National Intern Day Spotlight! 🎉 Meet Lauren, Assistant Program Manager for HBTS Team 1! Lauren started as an intern from the University of Rhode Island in 2021 and has been a dedicated part of the Perspectives team ever since. Her passion for working with children with disabilities and her commitment to advocating for their independence and autonomy have been truly inspiring. Lauren initially pursued Criminal Justice and Law, but during her internship at Perspectives, she discovered her true calling in working with children. Her experience as a page for the House of Representatives taught her the importance of advocacy, a skill she now uses daily to ensure her clients receive the best care possible. We’re excited to have Lauren as a valued member of our team! Her dedication, passion, and advocacy are truly commendable. We're can't wait to see all she will accomplish with us! 🌟

🎉This week, we’re spotlighting our incredible interns in celebration of National Intern Day on July 25th! 🎉 Meet Damaris, one of our talented Behavior Technicians! Damaris graduated from CCRI with an associate degree in Human Services. During her time in school, she completed a two-semester internship with us here at Perspectives. Initially, she chose us based on a recommendation, but returned for the second semester because she genuinely enjoyed the experience. Damaris thrived in our supportive environment, appreciating the excellent training and teamwork. We’re excited to celebrate Damaris! 🌟 Her dedication to becoming a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and her passion for helping others are truly inspiring. We’re lucky to have her on our team and can’t wait to see her future successes!
