Our De Queen, AR, facility recently provided hot dogs at the Sevier County Sherriff’s Department National Night Out. This annual event is held each year and many members of the community attended, while enjoying a great meal and a fun time. Great work, De Queen!

JBS Sanitation recently held a conference for all managers at our corporate headquarters in Greeley, CO. During the conference, attendees heard from Pilgrim’s CEO Fabio Sandri, Global Head of Food Safety & Quality Assurance Al Almanza and many other company leaders. As Pilgrim’s moves forward with in-house sanitation services, we strive to foster collaboration, continuous improvement and partnership throughout the company.

Our Nacogdoches, TX, facility recently sponsored the Nacogdoches Area Cancer Coalition’s Dueling Piano event. The Cancer Coalition helps members of the Nacogdoches community with the financial burden of cancer diagnoses and this event helps the coalition continue their amazing mission. Keep up the great work, Nacogdoches!

Our Canton, GA, facility recently held a dinner to thank all team leaders for their hard work and dedication every day. Their efforts make our company more successful. Great work, team Canton! 

To celebrate the return to school, our Mount Pleasant, TX, facility provided backpacks to all team members for their kiddos and loved ones. Wishing our Pilgrim’s family the best of luck in the upcoming school year!

Digna Battcher, Operational Excellence Coordinator, at our Waco, TX, facility recognizes the impact the Pilgrim’s Tomorrow Fund scholarship had on her life. Battcher started college in Venezuela but when she moved to the United States, she learned none of her college credits would transfer. In 2020, Battcher applied for the Pilgrim’s Tomorrow Fund scholarship. The Pilgrim's Tomorrow Fund scholarship program awards a full-ride scholarship to a team member or dependent of a team member at each Pilgrim's location annually. Battcher was already enrolled at Tarleton State University, studying business, when she received the scholarship, which allowed her to finish college completely free of charge.

Our team in Sumter, SC, recently held dental exams for team members at their facility. Jet Dental came to the plant and provided exams to 24 team members, including one team member that hadn’t had a dental exam in over 10 years. Justina Brownlee, Human Resources Manager said, “The team was so excited. I was initially worried about the turnout, but it was great. When the team member mentioned they had not seen a dentist in 10 years, I thought to myself that this experience embodies creating a better opportunity for our team members. While at work, people are able to take care of their hygiene. Overall, the experience was a joyful one. I am excited about the future partnership.” Great work, Sumter!

Recently, we graduated 155 team members from our Supervisor Development Program. During the three-day conference leading up to graduation, the participants had the opportunity to hear from David Colwell, President of Value Added, Anna Lee Munns, Head of Fed Beef Accounting & Finance and Jason Miller, Head of Prepared Foods Human Resources. These graduates now hold various supervisor roles throughout the company, and we are excited to see all their positive accomplishments. 

Our Live Oak, FL, facility recently partnered with the Suwannee County Police Athletic League to celebrate the end of summer and the return to school for families in their community. At the celebration, Live Oak sponsored a meal for all participants and backpacks were given out. Great work, team Live Oak! 

Through our #HometownStrong initiative, our Waco, TX, facility recently contributed $250,000 toward renovations of the China Spring Youth Athletics Association sports complex. The renovation included the installation of three new synthetic turf fields, upgraded concession stands, new batting cages, a larger restroom facility and more. Keep up the good work, team Waco!
