    Did someone say ‘food fight?!’ Ah yes, the “Creative Exercise” is a ole time tradition with Pulse Creative that truly tests not only the creativity of each employee, but it also challenges them to take on new skill sets and gives them the opportunity to work outside of their daily team structures. These are “mock pitches” so to speak, which help trains every service silo here. The executive leadership of Pulse Creative act as the “client,” and each team represents a competing agency. During last year’s creative exercise, the teams were tasked with a tasty revamp of the iconic nostalgic food brand, Chef Boyardee. It’s safe to say that we all are familiar with the classic brand, having grown up eating their cans (and some of us still eating it during lunch breaks – lookin’ at you Jason Tsai). We split into teams of 4 to provide a total rework, from the brand identity to all marketing touchpoints, including a full go-to-market strategy with new campaign ideas and a stronger digital presence. The main objective is to help re-introduce the brand beyond the compounds of their legacy consumers and reach youthful audiences. Each team bought the sauce [no pun intended], with some presenting evolutions to Chef Boyardee, while others completely cooked up interesting new perspectives for the brand. Ultimately, the winner of this cook-off of a pitch was a tie: combining Ashley Sullo's teams’ overall creative rebranding as “Chef Jr,” and David Alvarez's teams’ lingo & AI mobile app integration. The reintroduction of Chef Boyardee with a spinoff brand called Chef Jr. includes a fresh new logo, redesigned packaging, renovating their advertisement approaches and then some! A new website would showcase the products and marketing integration, including a tracker that helps find a “Rolling Can” food truck, as well as an AI app integration for new recipe ideas. Overall, the smorgasbord of flavors from both team efforts created a fresh new take (or we should say ‘taste’) for Chef Boyardee, givin’ a whole new vibe to the brand.     “You gotta go through it to get through it” - Megan Thee Stallion Day Two of ADWEEK Social Media Week brought in several key insights but some of my favorite were from LTK Kristi OBrien creator Lucie Fink. As they discussed meeting consumers where they are in the Creator Marketplace and creating evergreen content. Today overall highlighted the essential need for creators as 73% of Gen-Z and 68% of millennials turn to creators to make purchasing decisions. We also heard a lot from everyone about the importance of creating believable and meaningful content and being okay with being uncomfortable when creating new forms of content. Also I have bingo 😂 see you tomorrow
