The 2024 Engagement Scholarship Consortium will take place Oct. 9-10 in Portland, Oregon. This year's theme is "Pathways to Prosperity: Building Sustainable Futures through Community Engagement." The conference will be a place for engaging conversations about the many ways that we work collaboratively to define and build social and economic prosperity. Have you heard of the Indiana GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs)? Led by Dr. Virginia Bolshakova, Principal Investigator and Director of GEAR UP and in collaboration with Purdue University College of Education, this program serves to help students in Indiana who come from under-resourced communities prepare for and be successful with their post-secondary education. PERA will transform Purdue’s research administration systems and enable new efficiencies and capabilities in research administration not possible with our current systems. The #EngagedCollegeProgram (ECP) is a new outlet created by The Office of Engagement to enhance and integrate engagement efforts across the university. This program is designed to help colleges properly outline their engagement objectives and develop them further to align with Purdue University's engagement goals. Natasha Harris has recently been awarded the Jefferson Award for her impact on Equity and Inclusion. At Purdue University, Harris is the Associate Director of Diversity in the Purdue University College of Science. Some of her work includes the Emerging Leaders Science Scholars Program and speaking at events in the Greater Lafayette community.
