Reflecting on the last 7 years at Redfin, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride. Working alongside an incredibly talented team and leading the Latino ERG group has been a transformative journey. During this time, I've seen firsthand the dedication and passion that drives our commitment at Redfin for a truly diverse, equitable and inclusive (DEI) working community. While my journey, as the leader of the ERG ends, I remain a manager of the Associate Agents in Texas and will continue my work advocating for equity. My work at Redfin continues as the journey to Latino homeowners in the U.S. presents both challenges and opportunities. According to the 2023 State of Hispanic Homeownership Report, the Latino homeownership rate has reached nearly 50%, the highest increase in any racial or ethnic group despite facing the most unaffordable housing market on record. Latinos added a net gain of 377,000 owner-households in 2023 alone (NAHREP). Thank you to the incredible leaders and mentors at Redfin who have supported and guided me throughout this journey.
