This month, our community held a pet photo contest to raise money for the Humane Society of Westmoreland County. We raised $579.00 and named a winner in each of the four categories, voted on by our entire community. Congratulations to the first place winners pictured below! Proceeds were donated in honor of our first place winners. We also had a chance to meet two resident pups of HSWC. Goliath and Tessa were happy to accept our community's donation and gave lots of love while there!

Congratulations to our very own Dawn Mosesman who was named Western PA Region's Direct Care Worker of the Year winner! We are so proud of Dawn and the passion she brings as a caregiver to our community.

Quick update from the Youth Healthcare Institute at Redstone: Graduation is today! 🎓 These students have been with us since Monday and have gained valuable knowledge and skills surrounding careers in senior care and healthcare. Yesterday, the students learned about fall prevention and different career paths in occupational therapy, took a tour of each of our 3 campuses, and finished their day with direct care worker training. Today our students will meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to learn how rewarding volunteerism can be and craft thank you cards for the staff and residents with whom they spent the last week before graduating by the end of the day!
