Employee Spotlight! 🌟 🌎 Pat G. is a Systems Engineer and Unity Developer, working together with partners on building generative models. Pat’s passion for simulation modeling and innovation drives their work with stakeholders to optimize healthcare facility design and clinical space efficiency. At RGP, Pat actively contributes to the DSoP and DSCoP Initiative for Data and AI Policy. With guidance from their mentors through the IVC program, Pat has taken on a new role as a Manager and will be pursuing a PMP this coming year. Pat holds Systems Engineer Certificates from MIT, and has a strong background in computational Data Science from their academic background, at George Mason University. Outside of work, Pat enjoys switch sports, traveling, rock climbing, and competitive video gaming. Their adventurous spirit keeps him energized for the next challenge. We understand the immense challenges faced by clinicians at VAMCs—stress, anxiety, and burnout from the demanding nature of their work. The mental toll from patient care and losses is overwhelming, and clinicians often lack personalized options for relief and rejuvenation. This is why we’ve partnered with Reimagine Well to create the Oasis Decompression Room pilot initiative.   The Oasis Decompression Room is designed to provide VAMC clinicians with a dedicated space for immersive, restorative experiences during their breaks. By creating tailored environments that reflect each clinician’s personal restorative spaces, we aim to alleviate stress and foster a culture of wellness within the VAMC.   This initiative is revolutionary, focusing on supporting the well-being of those who care for Veterans. Employee Spotlight 🌟 Meet Stefany Zelaya, MPH! Stefany joined us as a Management Consulting Intern in June 2023 after connecting with a UMD alumna, and quickly became an integral part of our team. With a Master of Public Health focusing on Healthcare Management, Stefany’s dedication and skills made her a natural fit for her current role, where she supports the Department of Veteran Affairs Office of Construction and Facilities Management. Stefany’s passion for RPG’s culture inspired her to transition to full-time in March 2024, and she has continued to grow and make an impact. ReefPoint Group's Data Science team is keeping up on their summer reading by diving into federal data and artificial intelligence policy and best practice documents. One of our Data Scientists, Michael M., recently reviewed the NIST Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework: Generative Artificial Intelligence Profile and shared these insights: "This comprehensive profile offers a structured approach to managing AI risks, focusing on those unique to Generative AI technologies like the Large Language Models found in OpenAI's ChatGPT or Anthropic's Claude. The NIST profile provides a clear framework to govern, map, measure, and manage AI-related risks across various categories, including security, environmental impact, and human-AI interaction. ReefPoint Group is actively integrating components of the NIST profile recommendations and other federal and industry guidance into our AI project framework. This effort aims to assist organizations in their AI transformation journey and ensure responsible development and deployment of impactful AI systems."
