Taking proper care of your vacuum excavator's baghouse is essential for maximum efficiency and lifespan. Here are some tips to keep your vac running smoothly! Daily Maintenance: - When you have finished running the machine for the day use "Reverse Flow" to flush the baghouse filters out and reduce the time between filter cleanings. - After each use, drain the baghouse to prevent corrosion. Filter Cleaning: - When removing filters inspect them for holes or tears caused by sediment. - Do not wash baghouse filters with rotary nozzles! - Have an extra set of baghouse filters so you can continue working while drying out the other set of filters.

Strong-Arm (manual) Boom VS. Hydraulic Boom Using any boom, on a hydro excavation trailer, can help reduce fatigue on the operator. When operating a machine with no boom, the operator typically puts the hose over their shoulder to position the suction tube for excavation. Using a Ring-O-Matic boom allows the hose to hang off the side of the machine and off the operator, which reduces fatigue when in use. The Strong-Arm Boom is manually operated by releasing pins and unfolding the boom from its stored position. This allows operators who occasionally work in the right-of-way to utilize the boom and manually swing the suction tube into, and out of the work zone while keeping the suction hose off the shoulder of the operator. Boom options are routinely used for work in the right-of-way. This boom is remotely operated allowing the operator to move the suction tube into, and out of, the work zone with just the touch of a button. #ProvenPerformance
