After a 38-year tenure, Judy Black, Vice President of Quality Assurance and the Entomology Dept. at Rollins, Inc., is retiring. Throughout her career, she exhibited innovation, tenacity, and full dedication to advancing the field – setting a precedent for the women who came after her in a traditionally male-dominated industry and profession. In addition to her roles at large pest control companies, Judy is a member of the national pest management fraternity, Pi Chi Omega, which she has presided over. She has also served on state pest control association boards and several National Pest Management Association (NPMA) committees. As Judy steps into a well-deserved retirement, her legacy at Rollins and the pest control industry at large remains strong. Her pioneering spirit and commitment to excellence will be remembered for years to come.

In honor of Women’s Equality Day on August 26, the Rollins Women+ Resource Community hosted a panel discussion featuring women leaders from across our family of brands and the Rollins Support Center. It was great hearing from our leaders about knowing your value, thriving as a woman in a male-dominated industry, and showing up as our best selves. Last week, Rollins’ Fleet team held a “Fleet Rodeo” to give our 2024 State of Fleet update and provide a Creative Vehicle Upfit Showcase. Special guests from Toyota Motor NA and Masterack were there to answer questions and solicit feedback for future product development. Teammates from Rollins Home Office and Northwest Exterminating came together for two events to fill 550 backpacks with school supplies for children in the Atlanta-metro area. These backpacks will benefit Kipp Woodson Park Academy through the Grove Park Foundation’s Back-to-School event and the Marine Toys for Tots Foster Care Initiative. Our partnerships between Rollins’ Home Office & the Grove Park Foundation, as well as Northwest Exterminating & Toys for Tots, reflect our commitment to community well-being. This year, we expanded our efforts to include a $10,000 contribution to Toys for Tots in addition to the backpacks.
