Together with our long-time partner Oscar de la Renta, we were proud to host the annual fundraiser for the League to Save Lake Tahoe. The event, which showcased an early look at Oscar de la Renta’s pre-spring 2025 collection, raised a record-breaking $1.4 million for the nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of the Lake Tahoe Basin. Ahead of the completion of our Saks Early Career Development Program, I recently joined this year’s participants for a discussion on professional growth and development. Reflecting on my own experience starting out in the Saks Fifth Avenue executive training program, it’s always rewarding to share my experience and advice with those starting out in their careers. PRIDE @Saks, our LGBTQ+ employee resource group, which serves to promote an inclusive culture of acceptance, dignity and respect, recently welcomed guest speakers Tree, a long-time bartender at the historic Stonewall Inn, and Angelica Christina, a queer Latina activist, actor, model and trans consultant. Tree and Angelica joined PRIDE @Saks members Ryan Kenny and Colin Holmes for a conversation in recognition of the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, which began on this day in 1969. Guided by this month’s NYC Pride theme, ‘Reflect. Empower.
