On Friday, we continued our impactful partnership with the United Methodist Union of Greater Detroit! 🌟 Cass Community United Methodist Church dedicated the entire month of July to fundraising and collecting essential items for families in need. This past Friday, 18 amazing community members came together to transport, unload, and set up hygiene, cleaning, kitchen, and furniture items for a wonderful Iraqi family—a mother and her three daughters—who have recently settled in the US. This marks the second family we've had the privilege to support through this partnership. The transformation was beautiful, and the gratitude from the family was overwhelming, with tears, appreciation, and heartfelt hugs shared all around. 💖 Thank you to everyone involved for making a difference in our community! #CommunitySupport #Partnership #MakingADifference

Meet Farida Abaroge! 🏃 🏃 Originally from Jimma, Ethiopia, Farida's path to the Paris 2024 Olympics has been anything but easy. After fleeing persecution and enduring a challenging journey through Sudan, Egypt, and Libya, she found safety in France. She is now training in Strasbourg as a track and field athlete specializing in the 1500m. With unwavering dedication and the support of her coach Gerard and the Refugee Athlete Scholarship, Faride is pushing her limits to achieve her Olympic dreams. Her story is a powerful reminder of resilience and hope. #Paris2024 #RefugeeAthlete
