The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara continues to maintain a Temporary Judge Program that is an integral part of some of the Court's busiest venues. Through this program, attorneys volunteer to preside over small claims and traffic hearings, facilitate the settlement of civil and family law disputes, and serve in other capacities at the discretion of the Presiding Judge. Join the Temporary Judge Bench Conduct and Demeanor Training on August 19 1:30 - 4:30pm to learn more. Hon. Matthew W. Pritchard joined the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara as our newest judge following his Oath of Office Ceremony on August 1, 2024. Judge Pritchard brings a diverse and accomplished background to the bench, having served as a Senior Deputy City Attorney at the San Jose City Attorney’s Office prior to this appointment.
