In this new role, Carol will be leading our Healthcare Group while serving existing and past clients, in addition to developing new ones. 🏥Carol joined Scott-Long in 2017, and over these past years, she has developed a significant skill set in the planning and execution of healthcare construction. ⬆️Slight Growth in the Construction Industry The construction industry added 25,000 jobs in July, highlighting our sector’s resilience and growth. Over the past year, we’ve seen an increase of 239,000 jobs, marking a 3.0% rise in industry employment. 🔧 Nonresidential construction continues to lead the way, adding 16,200 positions across all subcategories: • Specialty Trade Contractors: +11,300 jobs • Heavy and Civil Engineering: +2,900 jobs • Nonresidential Building: +2,000 jobs Despite broader economic challenges, our industry remains stable. According to the ABC’s Construction Confidence Index, contractors are optimistic about the next six months, particularly in sectors like manufacturing construction, driven by substantial federal investments. We are proud to be part of this dynamic and evolving industry.
