This Monday, August 26, we honor and join Brother Frank Albrecht's family in A Celebration of Life and Legacy. In his memory, his family invites the public to wear colorful colors and McCaskey shirts or gear as we celebrate the life he led and the impact he had on so many. The public is welcome to join his family this Monday, August 26th, for Brother Frank’s funeral service and celebration of life at the First Spanish Assembly of God Lancaster, PA (626 S Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602). The service will begin at 5:30pm, with a time to visit with the family starting at 4pm. Earlier in the day, from 11am to 12pm, a green burial will be held at Akron Mennonite Church cemetery (1311 Diamond St, Akron, PA 17501: behind the church). This burial is open to the public who wish to pay their respects and reflect on the love and kindness Brother Frank shared with us. Brother Frank, you will be deeply missed, but your legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. Thank you for everything you have given to this world. We are better because of you. The School District of Lancaster welcomed two new School Resource Officers (SROs) to our schools: Officer Alan Houck and Officer Alexander Miller. Their expertise and dedication will play a crucial role in enhancing the safety and security of our schools and fostering a supportive environment for our students. Officer Alexander Miller joins us at Lincoln Middle School, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his tenure with the Lancaster Bureau of Police since 2021. Originally from San Diego, California, Officer Miller has a diverse background that includes living in Santiago, Chile, where he became fluent in Spanish. This linguistic skill and his broad cultural experiences will be instrumental in connecting with our diverse student body and their families. Officer Alan Houck will be stationed at Wheatland Middle School, where he will support both middle and elementary schools as part of our School Resource Officer-School Safety Officer (SRO-SSO) model. In addition to his primary role at Wheatland, Officer Houck will also provide support to Burrowes, Price, Smith Wade El, and Martin schools. His diverse background and dedication make him a valuable asset to our district’s commitment to creating a secure and supportive learning environment for all students. What a fantastic day we had at Rep. Mike Sturla. 13th Annual Back to School Event co-hosted by Representative Smith-Wade-El!
