Mr. Don Bottom 1944-2024; former Chairman and CEO of Security Engineers, Inc., former NASCO Board member, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our esteemed former CEO, Mr. Donald Bottom. He was not only a visionary leader but also a loving husband, father, grandfather, beloved mentor and friend. Mr. Bottom dedicated his life to transforming our company and industry, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence have inspired us all to reach for greater heights. In 1965, after coming out of the U.S. Navy (where he developed a life-long passion for sailing), Mr. Bottom started a close to six-decade career in the security industry as a Pinkerton Detective. From there, in the 1970’s and 80’s, he ran NASCO founding member Advanced Industrial Security, which is how he became involved in NASCO. In 1993, Mr. Bottom and several partners took over and re-incorporated Security Engineers, Inc. Mr. Bottom was Chairman and CEO of Security Engineers for 25 years, where he grew it from a $500K company into a regional. Mr. Bottom was able to work with his son James who is now the Vice President of Client Solutions at Security Engineers for almost 20 years.    Beyond Mr. Bottom’s professional achievements, he was known for his kindness, generosity, and genuine care for the well-being of everyone he encountered. He fostered a culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity, making the world a better and brighter place. Mr. Bottom leaves behind his wife of 57 years Barbara “Bobbie” Bottom, his son James (Elisabeth), his two daughters Allison (Joe) and Colleen (Dan), and eight grandkids. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bottom family and his loved ones during this difficult time. We will honor Mr. Bottom’s legacy by continuing to strive for the excellence and values that he instilled in all of us. Rest in peace, Mr. Bottom. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. #InMemory #Legacy #Leadership #RestInPeace #GoneButNotForgotten https://lnkd.in/eFh6S9hH

In today's fast-paced world, where decisions are often made on the fly and businesses operate at lightning speed, the importance of efficient processes cannot be overstated. One such process that plays a critical role in various sectors is background checks. Whether it's for employment screening, tenant verification, or vendor due diligence, background checks are essential for ensuring safety, security, and trust. However, beyond the thoroughness of the investigation itself, there's another aspect that deserves equal attention: turnaround time. https://lnkd.in/e8PmxzRC #backgroundchecks #preemploymentscreening #investigations
