For too long, mental illness has been misunderstood within faith communities, and spirituality has been sidelined in mental health conversations. That's why we've launched a series of Mental Health first aid training programs with local faith leaders across the state to learn how to respond in a helpful, meaningful way. We have a real opportunity to partner with faith leaders to help educate congregations about mental health, end the stigma, and get people the appropriate mental health support they need and deserve. We held the first in-person training session at in Hampton, Va. We will have another in-person session in Richmond next month, and ten virtual sessions throughout the year to train more than 300 faith leaders across Virginia. 💛 #SentaraCares #MHFA #BeTheDifference

Making education more equitable. 🎓 Since 2009, we've donated more than 10,000 desktops, laptops, and monitors to the Computers for Student Success at Tidewater Community College.
