Making education more equitable. 🎓 Since 2009, we've donated more than 10,000 desktops, laptops, and monitors to the Computers for Student Success at Tidewater Community College. Investing in our future, one resident at a time! 🏥🌱 We're embarking on a major expansion of our residency program to address the nationwide physician shortage and strengthen our local healthcare workforce. Over the next six years, we will nearly double Sentara's residency positions, expand the specialty training programs offered, and introduce new residency programs at four Sentara hospitals in Virginia and North Carolina. “We believe strongly that if we train more physicians locally in our markets, we’re more likely to keep physicians locally in our markets,” said Michael Hooper, M.D., vice president and chief academic officer.
