Exciting news for the City Of Auburndale! Lake Ariana Park is undergoing a major transformation to better serve the community. The renovation will feature a brand new 29,000 SQ FT civic center, a boathouse with kayak rentals, beach volleyball courts, a pier, a playground, and numerous seating areas and picnic pavilions scattered throughout the park. Today we joined Mayor Buddy Dyer, District 2 Commissioner Tony Ortiz, Fire Chief Charles Salazar, and the firefighter team for the the official opening and ribbon cutting of City of Orlando Fire Department Station 11, “The Beast of the East”. Redesigned and rebuilt on its existing site, this new state-of-the-art facility will provide Dover Shores and the surrounding neighborhoods with the latest in technology and the space to accommodate multiple, specialized units and equipment. Fire Station 11 – "The Beast of the East" The new state-of-the-art facility will provide Dover Shores and the surrounding neighborhoods with a modern facility, equipped with the latest in technology and space to accommodate multiple, specialized units and equipment. The new station will be home to 30 firefighters, house four bays, four units, and is designed to promote firefighter health and safety while providing top-rated service, functionality and rapid response times to the community it serves.

The SMART bond program has directed approximately $47 million towards crucial renovations at Northeast High School. Northeast High School recently unveiled its new 24-classroom building and a multi-purpose resource lab, highlighting a commitment to meet the evolving needs of its campus. Among the notable attendees at the celebration were School Board Member Sarah Leonardi, School Board Vice-Chair Debra Hixon, representatives from the zone administration, Broward County long time school advocates, and members of the school community, including the principal, teachers, and students.
