  • Here’s a peek behind the corporate curtain with Joe Bohman, our Executive Vice President of #PLM products. 👀 Bohman manages a significant portion of our software portfolio with design and manufacturing solutions used across nearly any industry you might name. During our conversation, we discussed how an interest in creating modeling software was spawned while writing a Princeton math thesis on algebraic topology and knot theory, and how tracing the journey of a humble cell phone connector can illustrate the power of the #digitalthread. A math and science kid at heart, Joe still reads math books to relax. If you chat with Joe today about math or Moore’s Law, you will notice that same spirit of fun and curiosity persists today, even as the scale of the challenges to which he’s turned his attention has expanded exponentially (much like the circuit density on slivers of silicon).

  • Industries worldwide are grappling with a perfect storm: a dwindling pool of skilled labor and an ever-increasing complexity of design and manufacturing processes. As experienced workers retire, and new talent struggles to fill the gap, companies are searching for innovative solutions to preserve institutional knowledge and accelerate productivity. One promising answer lies in generative AI. By capturing and transferring the expertise of seasoned professionals, AI can empower new hires to quickly become valuable contributors. Tools like Siemens Industrial Copilot are at the forefront of this transformation, creating intelligent partnerships between humans and machines. These industrial copilots are poised to redefine how businesses approach design, planning, development, and engineering. By combining human ingenuity with AI's computational power, companies can overcome industry challenges and unlock new levels of efficiency and innovation. #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #GenerativeAI

  • We’re thrilled to be featured in DEVELOP3D’s D3D 30 list! This prestigious annual roundup highlights the most innovative technologies in product development. Check out what DEVELOP3D had to say about our tools: “It’s in the software that this Sony/Siemens collaboration really shines. Built around existing NX capabilities, Siemens’ software for the headset is targeted at meaningful engineering work, taking a virtual environment beyond simple design reviews and initial concept sketching, and enabling users to interact directly with the live NX session that they’re viewing.” #Innovation #ProductDevelopment

  • The right funding at the right time can make or break a startup. The Angel Capital Association (ACA) is the world’s leading professional association for angel investors and startup entrepreneurs. It represents a vital resource for early-stage funding for startups across many industries and geographies. We are proud to be their first ACA Syndication Partner. ACA board member and syndication lead Sandy Wollman recently shared, “We are thrilled to have Siemens as our first ACA Syndication Partner. Through the collaboration, the ACA portfolio of investors and their startups have access to the benefits of the Siemens Xcelerator of industry software, helping them bring their innovations to market. We look forward to building and expanding our collaboration with Siemens so we can help startups succeed.”

Welcome to the future of live events! Imagine stepping into a concert hall and experiencing the acoustics as if you were already familiar with every nuance. 🎶 🎻🪈 This is not just a dream ✨ — it's the transformative power of the Sound of Science, powered by cutting-edge #DigitalTwin technology and Simcenter. The Sound of Science offers fully immersive, precise 3D models of concert venues that go beyond visual replication. These models simulate acoustics by combining dry recordings with detailed architectural plans and material properties, perfectly mimicking how sound waves travel, reflect, and interact within the venue. 🔊 Following its spectacular debut at the Großes Festspielhaus in Salzburg, we are excited to expand this project to additional venues in Germany and England. This initiative is all about bridging the gap between #art and #science, creating a new era of concert experiences. Let's unleash the future of concert acoustics with the #SoundOfScience. 💥

  • Like simulations, digital twins are virtual, computer-generated versions of physical systems, such as an industrial robot or a manufacturing process, however, they do not simply provide a static model of some current state of affairs. Rather, they incorporate real-time data from the physical systems and often allow users to provide active feedback to those systems. Digital twins have the unique ability to model a system’s current design and future behavior to support a wide range of tasks, such as virtually commissioning systems, optimizing production, or enabling predictive maintenance. The potential operational improvements that digital twins offer has put them on a launchpad for rapid adoption and growth. Research group MarketsandMarkets™ projects global demand for the technology will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 61.3% through 2028, expanding last year’s $10.1 billion market to $110.1 billion within that time frame. #DigitalTwins

  • We're excited to announce that SiliconAuto TW has adopted PAVE360 software to accelerate pre-silicon ADAS SoC development. The software will help reduce development time for its range of state-of-the-art semiconductors for the automotive industry and offer a software development environment prior to silicon hardware availability, accelerating its silicon development and enabling potential customers to shift left development processes. SiliconAuto is dedicated to designing and selling a range of state-of-the-art semiconductors to supply the automotive industry. Their challenge is the need to provide a virtual reference development environment for its forthcoming Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) System on a Chip (SoC) - prior to silicon hardware availability. The adoption of Siemens' PAVE360 enables the company to build an automotive standards-based multi-client, multi-fidelity, virtual development environment that mixes existing tooling and models with new virtual SoCs and real-world inputs to gain early insight, enable early software development and provide key metrics for decision criteria. “SiliconAuto’s commitment to driving innovation in the automotive industry is exemplified by our collaboration with Siemens. By leveraging PAVE360, we are not just accelerating development but also paving the way for future-ready vehicles that meets the highest standards of safety and performance,” said Shawn Tien, vice president of sales and marketing, SiliconAuto. “The pace of development for the advanced technologies required for next generation electric vehicles is accelerating - OEMs and suppliers need to be able to prove out, simulate and iterate software capabilities long before hardware becomes available,” said David Fritz, our vice president, Hybrid and Virtual Systems. “SiliconAuto’s selection of PAVE360 for its environment of choice for pre-silicon software development shows that our standards-based approach is enabling leaders in the automotive industries to accelerate their development processes and deliver the functionality that the next generation of vehicles are demanding.” https://sie.ag/68THjM #Automotive #semiconductors #news
