Hard Kill: Advancing the capabilities of CUAS systems and effectors to defeat hostile #UAS threats. In early August, Silvus in partnership with MARSS Group participated in U.S. Army DEVCOM (#DEVCOM) and U.S. Army Central (#ARCENT) Counter UAS (#CUAS) exercise. Through a network of sensors and countermeasures, the exercise addressed full kill chain capabilities to detect, identify, locate track and defeat Class I & II hostile drones at extended range, utilizing a combination of air-burst kinetic solutions and point-to-point munitions. #StreamCaster #MANET radios were selected as the radio of choice for MARSS’ NiDAR CUAS system – enabling all parts of the CUAS kill chain – fusing sensors to effectors through robust high-bandwidth data communications with low latency over vast distances, with proven ability to operate in complex and contested operating environments. MARSS NiDAR CUAS system is unique: it provides countermeasure options to the gunner/end user for a precision defeat. Proud to support the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center during Bamboo Eagle 24-3 joint operational exercise. During the second iteration of the exercise, Silvus was onsite working alongside the USAF 10th ASOS to create a long-range data link, enabling point-to-point communications that spanned 81 nautical miles from Naval Base Coronado to San Clemente Island. #StreamCaster #MANET radios were more than up for challenge, needing only a #SC4400 paired with a 15dBi sector antenna to seamlessly connect to a #SC4200 paired with 2dBi omni antennas. Together with Silvus MN-MIMO waveform we were able to establish a robust link that connected ASOS teams at both locations. It’s just another example of how Silvus is empowering the warfighter with mission-ready solutions for distributed operations.
