Grant Spotlight: Sincere Foundation recently awarded a grant to Boston Area Gleaners, Inc., a nonprofit that supports an equitable, just + sustainable local food system. The organization builds innovative partnerships with local organizations + businesses in order to bridge food distribution gaps, improve healthy food access, prevent on-farm food waste + create new markets for locally grown produce. “Without the support of the local community, volunteers, donors and funders like Sincere Foundation, we would not be able to distribute millions of pounds of fresh produce to communities in the region,” said Gleaners Executive Director Usha Thakrar.
