Take a closer look at our recent gut renovation of Chicago Public Media's studio space! #TeamSkender – alongside the client, V Three Studios, Syska Hennessy Group, and our trade partners – helped bring the original studios, dating back to 1995, to the new century.   This incredible project demanded meticulous planning, coordination and collaboration because of its location on Navy Pier and keeping the space operational during construction. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Frech, JD, MBA, PMP, who was just named to the 2024 class of “20 in their Twenties” by the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ Media). #IBJ20s    Born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Nelson has degrees in construction engineering, political science, law and business. He has been leading construction project teams and promoting diversity in the industry since joining Skender's Indianapolis office in 2022.   The award recognizes young professionals who demonstrate significant professional achievements, leadership, growth and positive community impact. Today, we placed the final piece of structural steel on Lurie Children’s Schaumburg Outpatient, Primary Care and Infusion Center in Schaumburg! The last steel beam signifies the end of the structural phase of construction as the project team works toward the building’s completion and anticipated opening in the summer of 2025.   Our team is passionate about this project, knowing that the 75,000 SF building will help bring healthcare closer to home for young and vulnerable members of our community. Congratulations to everyone involved! BREAKING GROUND: Hamilton County, Indiana broke ground on a new Public Safety Center. Our team in Indiana will provide consulting to the county on the construction of this $85 million dispatch center. We are extremely proud to participate in this project that will service the Hamilton County community.

We like the SOUND of this! #TeamSkender completed a gut renovation on Chicago Public Media’s studio space on Chicago’s historic Navy Pier. The newly finished space features custom soundproof windows between studios, soundproof editing booths, acoustic wall panels, mobile sound diffusers and much more. The original broadcast studios dated back to 1995, and the updates transformed the space into modern content creation studios that seamlessly incorporate video and audio components for both live and recorded content. This rehabilitation project comes on the heels of Skender’s 2019 build-out of the office space and café surrounding the media company’s studios. Congratulations to everyone involved!
