  • Today, as we pause to remember September 11th, we honor the lives lost and the bravery shown on that day. It's a time for reflection, to recognize the profound impact it had on so many families and on our nation as a whole. Let's take a moment to think about those we lost, the heroes who stepped up, and the resilience that emerged from such a dark time. May we continue to carry their memory with us and strive to make the world a better place in their honor.

  • We’re proud colleagues at SBCC as we congratulate Dakota Digilormo and John Waskom, two of our brilliant Data Engineering and Analytics team members, on their graduations! Dakota Digilormo earned his PhD in Engineering with a concentration in Cyberspace from Louisiana Tech University after completing 4 years of doctoral study. Dakota is deeply passionate about cyber optimization, the future of data technology, and pushing the boundaries of what we consider technologically possible. John Waskom graduated with a Bachelor of Science focusing on Cyber Engineering from LA Tech University, pursuing his lifelong interest in computers and their deepest innerworkings. He looks forward to continuing his work in the constantly growing fields of computers, data sciences and cyber engineering. “Dakota and John studied hard every day for their degrees while simultaneously creating new data engineering solutions for our warfighters. • AFGSC & SBCC: Core Striker Leadership Courses “turned 30” (7+23) this August!!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Congratulations to Intermediate Cohort 7 and Frontline Cohort 23 – what a month! In a significant milestone for the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), 73 graduates have completed the compelling Striker Frontline- and Intermediate-level courses, embarking on a transformative journey as key leadership figures within the Command. These newly- minted and seasoned leaders, stepping into roles as first-time supervisors and those overseeing supervisors, respectively, are now better poised to drive forward a new era of service and global competition with enthusiasm and commitment. Facing the high-stakes environment of Striker missions only intensifies for those in leadership positions. As such, these graduates have demonstrated the drive and authenticity required of impactful leaders eager to make a substantial difference. Their resolve and commitment promise significant contributions to AFGSC's mission and their dedication to the discipline and pride it takes to pull it off with excellence! Never forget: the influence of these graduates extends far beyond daily headlines. Their efforts are integral to maintaining national security, bolstering diplomacy, and enhancing homeland defense. Although the specifics of their work might not always make the news, their impact is recognized by both adversaries and allies alike. Thanks to the dedication of these Strikers and their supportive families, our world remains a safer place. As always, none of this would be possible without the elite faculty at SBCC. We are grateful to Robin Rand, Bill Barrington, Victoria Boncz, Charles Flanagain, Eric Foreman, Naomi Franchetti, Joshua Hurt, Rob Lass, Susan Mace, Mark Mitchem, Mark Nemish, David Satchell, Lisa Wood, Jennifer Auten, Hayden Froehlich, Joel Frazier and Balin Howard for all you do in service to our nation! • This has been an exciting week! We had the incredible opportunity to participate in Air Force Global Strike Command's CCIT demonstration of the prototype Armored F-350, featuring the revolutionary IRIS technology from Outerlink Global Solutions.  IRIS is set to transform safety and operational efficiency in the missile fields. This cutting-edge feature offers: Enhanced Safety: Improved driving capabilities to ensure our personnel are safer while navigating in rough terrain under severe weather systems. Real-Time Data:Instant access to crucial vehicle information, keeping operators informed and prepared. Elimination of Communication Dead Spots: Radio connectivity issues are resolved, ensuring constant communication even in the most remote and challenging locations. Chad Gallagher, AFGSC Site Director at SBCC, shared his personal insights: “As a former Security Forces Squadron and Group Commander at Malmstrom and Minot AFB, I wish I would have had both capabilities. In 20AF, our forces operate hundreds of miles away from the main support bases, often in some of the harshest terrain and weather seen in the US. My greatest worry was that one of my patrols would have a roll-over accident and be unable to notify anyone of their situation or location. These Level-1 Armored vehicles should reduce the number of these horrific accidents, and IRIS can potentially ensure that our vehicle operators can communicate from anywhere in the missile complex and not be hampered by the communication dead-spots. A complete game changer for the safety and security of our weapon systems and personnel!” We are proud to be a part of such a crucial advancement in military technology and look forward to the positive impact this will have on the safety and effectiveness of our defense operations. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to drive innovation in defense technology!  #DefenseTech #Innovation #MilitarySafety #Technology #Outlerlink #AFGSC #IRIS #SmallBusiness #Consulting #DefenseIndustry #TechForGood

  • Hayden Froehlich of the SBCC Strategic Communication team visited Randolph AFB to meet with the team working SBCC’s first Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III as a prime contractor. Site lead Colonel (USAF ret.) Robert G Ramirez and executive vice president Major General (USAF ret.) Bill Spangenthal were generous hosts and shared in the excitement about SBCC’s continuing work within the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Majcom. All of us at SBCC look forward to helping the AETC mission to recruit, train, educate Airmen across the force.   Our team is already at work scouting for tech solutions and aiding in the organization of small business technology integration practices with the A5XI led by innovation chief, Lt. Col Beau Tresemer. The collaboration between the A5XI and SBCC will foster efficient methods for AETC leadership to address specific focus areas with innovative small business solutions.   Here's to education and excellence! #education #training #SBCC #AETC

  • We’re thrilled to share that our team recently attended the annual Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Industry Day event. This forum brought together Air Force acquisition and research leaders, uniformed and civilian Airmen alike, and top industry partners for an incredible week of collaboration and innovation. This year marked the ninth anniversary of Life Cycle Industry Days (LCID), featuring insightful speakers, expert panels, and interactive vendor booths. Our team had the privilege to engage in meaningful strategic discussions with Program Executive Officers and Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) experts, small businesses, and other key leaders.  "This event confirmed how we at SBCC must continue to commit to advancing defense solutions aligned with the SECAF’s Operational Imperatives and the USAF integrated capabilities vision." - Eric Froehlich, Chief Growth Officer, SBCC. A huge thank you to both AFLCMC and AFRL for hosting such an impactful event and to everyone who made this year's LCID a success. We look forward to continuing these valuable partnerships and being a key driver of innovation in the DoD!

🌟 Highlighting Innovation and Collaboration at the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) Code Jam! 🌟 We were thrilled to participate in the inaugural "AFGSC Code Jam," a one-day intensive coding workshop organized by AFGSC. This event brought together 20 talented developers and AFGSC personnel, including our data engineers and team members from the University Partnership Program (UPP), to tackle complex data, coding, and analysis challenges. The goal? Develop a robust coding strategy for the 13N Force Generation Assessment and Scheduling Tool (FAST) linear solver back-end. By splitting into small groups, we collaboratively brainstormed, created proof of concepts, and integrated solutions into a cohesive strategy. It was an incredible experience showcasing the power of innovation and teamwork! 🚀 Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to support AFGSC in their mission.  #AFGSC #CodeJam #Innovation #Collaboration #TechSolutions #DefenseIndustry #UPP

  • “Ladies and Gentlemen, leadership on the frontlines of our nation’s air- and land-based strategic deterrents are covered. Sleep well tonight!”   That’s what the SBCC faculty and staff of Air Force Global Strike Command’s Striker Frontline Leadership Course (SFLC) would likely tell you after graduating two more Frontline leadership course seminars recently…and with great reason.    In June, Cohort 21 graduated with some of the strongest and most thought-provoking conversations to date. And in July, Cohort 22 engaged in amazing, student-led dialogue. Altogether, more than 80 graduates from 9 Global Strike bases and nearly three-dozen Air Force specialties represented their units, and their Service, with true excellence and pride…and all with the underlying discipline we’ve come to expect from these professionals. To do the nation’s toughest jobs 24/7/365 is no easy feat, but these Striker-Leaders – Enlisted, Officers and Civilians – proved beyond a shadow-of-a-doubt they not only know what they do and how they do it, but also know WHY! These young men and women ARE our nation’s sword and shield, and we were incredibly proud to spend time with them these past two months.     Once again, we always want to thank the incredible faculty and staff of SBCC’s Leadership team for making this all happen. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Robin Rand, Jason Barnshaw, Bill Barrington, Cyrus R. Champagne, Charles Flanagain, Eric Foreman, Jason France, Naomi Franchetti, Joshua Hurt, Rob Lass, Susan Mace, Mark Mitchem, Mark Nemish, Jeremiah Patterson, David Satchell, Lisa Wood, Jennifer Auten, Hayden Froehlich, and Balin Howard for all you do. We are consistently grateful for your contributions in helping build our nation’s newest Frontline leaders, especially those standing watch over our nuclear and global strike enterprise!   Strike On, Leaders!    (The Striker Frontline Leadership Courses are immersive, high-engagement courses presented by SBCC in partnership with Air Force Global Strike Command. Taught primarily in small seminars to ensure the most effective student-to-facilitator ratio, their objective is to equip new Striker leaders with the capabilities and confidence necessary to take on their roles as leaders throughout the Command).    #leadership #afgsc #sbcc #strikeon #education
